IAQCert Announces New Awareness Training Series
First Course – Certified in Home Health Awareness – Launching August 1
IAQCert is proud to announce the launch of the IAQCert Awareness Training Series, a new collection of short, non-technical certification courses designed to help individuals recognize environmental red flags in residential and commercial settings.
The first course in the series, Certified in Home Health Awareness (CHHA), is scheduled for release on August 1 and is currently undergoing expert review by IAQCert’s subject matter specialists. The exam and course material are being finalized to ensure accuracy, clarity, and accessibility for all learners.
About the Awareness Training Series
The Awareness Series was created to bridge the gap between professional inspections and public knowledge. These courses are ideal for:
- Real estate agents
- Property managers
- Homeowners and tenants
- Housing advocates and consultants
Unlike technician-level certifications, this series focuses on visual cues, sensory observations, and real-world walkthrough scenarios. It provides valuable knowledge without the need for technical equipment or prior experience.
Certified in Home Health Awareness (CHHA)
The first course in the series, Certified in Home Health Awareness, trains learners to identify signs of potential indoor environmental health issues—such as moisture buildup, ventilation problems, mold indicators, and staging cover-ups often seen during real estate showings.
The course includes:
- 7 core modules
- 1 bonus module
- 10 concise lectures
- Certificate, ID card, and optional badge upon completion
Learners can choose between a full content experience (LearnEase) or fast-track certification (CertFast), depending on their background.
Designed for Professional Use
Graduates of the course will earn the Certified in Home Health Awareness (CHHA) title, which can be added to email signatures, listing presentations, and marketing materials. This designation is particularly beneficial for real estate professionals who want to demonstrate added training and build client trust during walkthroughs and property evaluations.
What’s Next?
The Certified in Home Health Awareness course marks the beginning of a larger rollout of awareness-level certifications under IAQCert. Additional titles in the series will be announced in the coming months, covering topics such as seasonal awareness, post-renovation risks, and outdoor environmental clues.
