Safety Course Enrollment Update – Why IAQCert Introduced a Small Fee

For one year, IAQCert has offered our Safety courses completely free. Our goal was simple: to give as many professionals as possible access to critical knowledge about workplace safety practices across Canada and the United States.

It all began with our very first program, the Certified Confined Space Entry Technician (CCSET). This course set the foundation for our Safety & Compliance Series and quickly became a trusted training option across industries.

Over time, we added other essential courses like the Certified Canadian Safety Awareness Technician (CCSAT), Certified U.S. Safety Awareness Technician (CUSAT), and now the Certified European Safety Awareness Technician (CESAT).

This growth has been exciting — but it has also brought new challenges.

🚩 Why We Needed a Change

Unfortunately, many people outside our target regions and industries began enrolling in all of our free courses at once. This created extra manual work, especially since every certificate we issue includes:

• Personal verification
• A unique ID code
• Secure recordkeeping in our certificate database

Because each ID card is manually verified, our team invests time to make sure every credential remains trustworthy and authentic. Keeping this process 100% free became unsustainable.

💳 Introducing a Small Enrollment Fee

To maintain program quality and protect the value of your certificate, all Safety courses now include a $9.99 enrollment fee. This nominal fee covers:

• Manual certificate and ID verification
• Administrative processing
• Ensuring certificates are only issued to serious learners

We believe this keeps the courses accessible while also protecting the integrity of IAQCert credentials.
