Certified European Safety Awareness Technician (CESAT) – Now Available
Introduction
The Certified European Safety Awareness Technician (CESAT) course is now live at IAQCert. This program is designed for professionals across Europe who want to build strong, practical knowledge of workplace safety aligned with EU directives, EN standards, and national enforcement systems. Whether you are new to safety roles or already an experienced supervisor, CESAT provides the tools to identify hazards, implement preventive measures, and demonstrate compliance with recognized European frameworks.
Why CESAT Matters
Workplace safety in Europe is governed by an interconnected system of EU-wide regulations such as Directive 89/391/EEC, supported by national inspectorates and European safety standards (EN/ISO). The CESAT course equips learners with the ability to:
- Conduct EU-standard risk assessments.
- Apply REACH and CLP for chemical safety.
- Select and maintain CE-marked PPE under Regulation (EU) 2016/425.
- Implement machinery safeguards under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
- Manage ergonomic, psychosocial, and environmental risks in compliance with EU guidance.
This is more than just training—it’s about becoming a recognized voice of safety and prevention on any jobsite in the European Union.
Learning Pathways
We’ve built CESAT for different levels of learners:
- LearnEase Path – 12 structured modules, 48 lessons, and 5 quizzes for those seeking step-by-step knowledge.
- CertFast Path – A 1-hour certification exam for experienced professionals ready to prove their skills.
Both pathways result in the same CESAT certification and digital badge, valid across EU member states.
