Certification Process - IAQCert

Step 1: Login or Registration
The certification process begins with logging in or registering your business/company. Once logged in, you will have access to select the course of your choice.

Step 2: Course Selection
Choose the desired course and add it to your cart. You will then proceed to make a payment for the selected course.

Step 3: Lecture Access
Upon successful payment, you will instantly gain access to the lectures for the chosen course. Follow the lectures in order to progress through the course material.

Step 4: Exams
After completing the lectures, you will be eligible to take the exams. Successfully passing the exams is necessary to obtain your certification.

Step 5: Certification and Badge
Once you pass the exams, you will receive your certification. As a certified individual, you are permitted to display our badge on your website or in public to showcase your achievement.

To renew your certificate, follow these steps:

Visit the course page for the certificate you wish to renew.

Click the “Add to Cart” button.

Proceed to checkout by clicking “View Cart” or the cart icon at the top right, then complete your payment.

Once the payment is complete, return to the course page. You will now see options to “Continue” or “Get Certificate.”

Click “Get Certificate.” A pop-up will appear asking if you’d like to Continue or Finish.

If you select Continue, you’ll be taken to retake the exam.

If you select Finish, your previous score will be used to automatically renew your certificate without needing to retake the exam.

Your renewed certificate will be issued immediately, and your updated IAQCert ID card will be available in your Profile > ID Cards tab within 2 business days.

While it's not strictly necessary to complete all lectures before taking the exam, we generally recommend at least a quick review. Experienced professionals or businesses with substantial industry experience may find they can successfully pass our exams without a detailed study of the lectures. Nevertheless, even for seasoned professionals, our lectures often contain beneficial information that could contribute to success in the exam. So, while you can indeed "zoom past" the lectures if you feel confident, a cursory review could still be advantageous.

Absolutely. For those who are already proficient in the industry or have extensive experience, you may opt to directly take the exam and earn your certification. However, we do recommend at least a brief review of our lectures. Even for seasoned professionals, these contain valuable insights that could be useful during the exam. This way, you ensure you're fully prepared and increase your chances of achieving the certification on your first attempt.

Each serves a different purpose:

Badge: This is a standard visual badge representing the course, displayed on the course page once enrolled.

Certificate: After passing the exam, you’ll receive an official wall-mount certificate to showcase your achievement.

Certification ID Card: Introduced in 2025, this is a personalized ID card containing your name, course details, and a secure QR code that links directly to your verification profile. It allows clients, employers, or auditors to instantly confirm your certification status.

To download your badge related to your passed course, please follow these steps:

Ensure that you have paid for the course and successfully passed the exam. Only individuals meeting these criteria are permitted to use the badge.

Once you have met the requirements, locate the badge image on the course completion or certification page.

Right-click on the badge image to open the context menu.

From the context menu, select "Save as" or a similar option depending on your browser.

Choose a location on your computer where you want to save the badge image.

Click "Save" to download the badge image to your computer.

Once the badge image is downloaded, you can use it for your marketing needs by sharing it publicly on your website or other platforms.

Please note that the specific steps may vary slightly depending on your browser and operating system.

To receive your certificate after passing the exam, follow these steps:

Login to your account and go to your profile page.
On the left side of your profile page, you will find a table.
Look for the "Certificates" tab within that table.
Click on the "Certificates" tab to access your certificate information.
In this section, you will find a list of all your certificates.
To download a certificate, simply click on the corresponding download link.
By following these steps, you will be able to retrieve and download your certificate from your account profile page.

Your official IAQCert ID card is available in your account. Simply go to Profile and click on the ID Cards tab. There, you'll find your digital ID card ready for viewing or download.

Can I take any course? Do I need a license? What are the requirements?

Most IAQCert courses do not require a license or special prerequisites to enroll. However, some advanced programs may recommend prior experience or completion of a foundational IAQCert course.

While IAQCert certifications validate your knowledge and skills through our Assessment-Based Certificate (ABC) system, they do not replace official licenses required by local or regional authorities.

Licensing and regulatory requirements vary by state or province, so it’s important to check your local rules before performing work covered in your training. Completing an IAQCert course demonstrates your professional competence, but legal authorization—if required—must still be obtained from the appropriate governing body.

Our lectures are developed using advanced technology and meticulously reviewed by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). All the information presented in our lectures is sourced from industry standards and guidelines, combined with valuable insights and knowledge.

Please note that different organizations have their own standards and guidelines, just as each state or province has its own rules and regulations. As a result, IAQCert may have varying views on certain procedures or standards for some material. This does not imply that our methods are superior; it simply reflects our perspective on achieving quality results based on our understanding and expertise.

The passing grade for all IAQCert exams is 80%. If you don’t pass on your first attempt, there’s no need to worry — each student receives up to three free exam retakes with full support and guidance.

Our goal is to educate and train, not to gatekeep. Each retake gives you a chance to review, learn from your mistakes, and strengthen your understanding before earning your certification. IAQCert believes in helping every learner succeed through mastery and confidence.

Your enrollment grants you access to all course materials and the opportunity to take the exam for one year, starting from your original date of enrollment. Please note that this one-year period is fixed from your enrollment date and is not dependent on when you take or pass the exam. This policy helps us ensure you're learning from the most current content and supports a consistent timeframe for all students. If your access period has expired and you wish to regain access, please contact us to inquire about re-enrollment options.
