About IAQCert Training Programs (ABC)
IAQCert is an Assessment-Based Certificate (ABC) Program. Courses are built around defined competencies, structured learning, and assessments. Certificates are awarded upon successful completion of required evaluations.
Programs support professional development for technicians, inspectors, and specialists in indoor air quality and environmental health. Content references widely accepted frameworks (e.g., OSHA, EPA, Health Canada, applicable provincial/state codes) and is informed by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Training is intended to improve job-site knowledge, safer practices, and real-world capability.
Important: IAQCert certificates recognize educational achievement within an ABC framework. They are not government licenses, regulatory approvals, or formal standards. Additional licensing or permits may be required in your jurisdiction.
Accuracy and Expertise
IAQCert offers courses and exams in areas including, but not limited to: Air Duct Cleaning, Indoor Air Quality Testing, Mold Inspection, Ventilation Inspection, and Water Damage Restoration. Content is reviewed periodically, but educational materials are not professional, legal, compliance, engineering, or safety advice, nor a substitute for qualified supervision, employer policies, site-specific hazard assessments, or legally required training.
Standards and regulations evolve. You are responsible for verifying current requirements and best practices, including local codes, OH&S rules, manufacturer instructions, and trade regulations. IAQCert does not supervise or control your work. IAQCert shall not be liable for errors or omissions in educational materials. By using IAQCert resources, you accept responsibility for your interpretation and application and release IAQCert and its affiliates from related claims.
Liability and Disclaimers
All content, examples, and demonstrations are informational and general in nature. You must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, consensus standards, manufacturer instructions, employer policies, and site-specific procedures.
IAQCert does not guarantee specific outcomes, including employment, compensation changes, legal authorization, or regulatory compliance. You are solely responsible for obtaining any required licenses, permits, approvals, or supervision before performing regulated or hazardous work.
NO CONTROL OVER JOBSITE CONDITIONS. IAQCert has no control over your sites, equipment, or methods, and disclaims responsibility for any damages, injuries, or losses arising from field activities or reliance on IAQCert content.
Field Work, Reliance & Assumption of Risk
EDUCATIONAL USE ONLY; NO PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP. All IAQCert materials, courses, examples, and demonstrations are for general educational purposes. They do not create a professional–client, consultant, engineer, inspector, or employer–employee relationship with IAQCert.
NO DUTY TO WARN, INSPECT, OR SUPERVISE. IAQCert does not and cannot evaluate site-specific conditions, hazards, equipment, or methods; does not supervise your work; and has no duty to warn you of jobsite risks.
YOUR JOBSITE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. You are solely responsible for all site assessments, methods, PPE, tools, equipment selection, and outcomes; for complying with manufacturer instructions; and for following applicable laws, codes, and employer policies. If you are unsure about safety, compliance, or competency, do not perform the task until you have obtained guidance from a qualified supervisor or licensed professional.
MANUFACTURER & AUTHORITY INSTRUCTIONS CONTROL. If IAQCert content ever conflicts with manufacturer instructions, AHJ requirements, codes, or regulations, those requirements control and must be followed.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK. You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with your real-world activities and the use or misuse of IAQCert content.
HOLD HARMLESS & INDEMNITY FOR FIELD ACTIVITIES. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IAQCert and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, losses, costs, and damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your field activities, services, or reliance on IAQCert content, except where caused directly by IAQCert’s willful misconduct.
